Violin professor at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands, José Manuel Álvarez Losada is regularly invited to give masterclasses, seminars, and lectures at various Universities and Conservatories in Spain and abroad.

Some of these institutions include the Universities of Leipzig, Louisiana, Münster, Ostrava, Pristina, and Tirana, the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), and the Professional Conservatories of Madrid (Teresa Berganza), Alicante, Barakaldo, La Coruña, Ourense, Santiago, Vigo, Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza.

Furthermore, due to his specialization in the repertoire of Spanish music for violin, he has been a member of the faculty of the University and International Music Course in Compostela (dedicated to the teaching and dissemination of works by Spanish composers) and regularly gives seminars on this repertoire at leading Spanish and international centers.
